TSFGC State House
The TSFGC State House is located on Grand Avenue and is the location at which meetings and workshops take place throughout the year. The Valentine's Day brunch and other events have also been held at the State House.
The TSFGC State House is in need of a new foundation!
The buildings' pier and beam foundation is rotting and we are asking all federation members who might know or have local contacts to help us secure donors, grants or philanthropists to help us obtain a new foundation.
Please contact TSFGC Prsident Sharon Steele @ ssteele@tsfgc.org if you are able to assist in this effort.

Sunny South Community Garden
The Sunny South Community Garden was planted in March 2014 but the site is the culmination of more than a year of planning.
The land, owned by the Texas State Federation of Garden Clubs, gives community members the opportunity to grow fresh produce in their own "backyard". The garden will be managed and cared for by local residents and takes a step toward addressing the limited access residents may have to fresh, affordable healthy food options in South Dallas.
Participating neighbors will pay a small annual fee and be responsible for a raised garden bed, from which they will sell half of the produce to Urban Acres and keep half for their families and neighbors. The project will be paid off by produce sales sometime in 2016 and will then turn a profit for the community.
Sign up for a garden plot by submitting a Garden Plot Request Form. We will assign plots to new gardeners for the 2015 garden season in March and April and continue through June as plots are available. Garden plots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. For gardens where there is no waitlist and plots are available, the plot assignment process typically takes 2 - 3 weeks. If no plots are available in the garden(s) you select, you will be put on a waitlist and notified when one becomes available. To register to grow and maintain a garden bed or plot or to partner with us as a volunteer, please contact Sharon Steele at ssteele@tsfgc.org.
